Quarter Heidestrasse at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.

  • “Mix it like Berlin”: Innovative concept with future-oriented technologies
  • First time at the Smart City Expo World Congress Barcelona: 13 – 15 November
  • Networking with international partners

Berlin, 13 November 2018. Taurecon Real Estate Consulting GmbH, which developed the Quartier Heidestrasse project not far from the Berlin central station, presents the construction project to an international professional public at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2018 in Barcelona.

Quartier Heidestrasse will be presented for the first time at the congress at the Berlin Partnerstand under the slogan “Smart City Berlin”. In the context of a pitch session about innovative locations, the quartier will be presented at the joint stand for the Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg.

Opportunity to network

Beyond that this offers the firm the opportunity to network with international partners. That includes strengthening the contact to the Barcelona City Council initiated when the cornerstone was laid for Quartier Heidestrasse in September 2018. Thomas Bergander, general manager of Taurecon Real Estate Consulting GmbH, said:

“We are very happy that the Quartier Heidestrasse will be presented to a broad international public for the first time in Barcelona. Every day we deal with the question how new urban quarters ought to be conceived and erected with respect to today’s manifold user expectations but also those for the future. To do that, it is very important to see beyond the end of one’s nose. We expect new impulses as well as interesting discussions and contacts from our participation in the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.“

Quartier Heidestrasse

Quartier Heidestrasse, located in the northwest part of Berlin-Mitte in the Europacity, is being developed as a lively, urbane mixture comprising residential and commercial buildings, businesses, public roads and squares, as well as green spaces. Cafés, restaurants and mixed uses building complexes create a pleasant, trendy residential and working climate. A total of some 268,000 m² of gross floor space (BGF) are planned in the QuartierHeidestrasse. One of the ensembles under construction, with more than 100,000 m² rental space is intended solely for modern office use. Finally some 920 residential units will be created in the Quartier – 25 per cent of which are subsidised housing units in the sense of the Berlin model for cooperative building land development.
